Solstice

Celebrity
Cruises’ Celebrity Solstice is the first of a series of five
revolutionary ships known as the “Post-Panmax
Class” to be built at the Meyer Werft Ship Yards in Germany.
Each year until 2012 a new ship will added to the fleet. At 122,000-tons, the
Celebrity Solstice is the largest ship ever built for Celebrity Cruises, with
another four to follow.
General Information and Specifications: She entered service in October
2008 and operates the ever popular Florida,
Caribbean regions. She accommodates 2,850 passengers, which for her size is a
low number. She is 314,80m long and has a beam of 36,80m. There are 12
passenger decks: 12, and she operated at an average
cruising speed of 24 knots. Her total installed power is 91.364 kW, having the
famed - Azipods drives all built by Meyer Werft
- Germany
in Yard no 675. She is registered in Valletta
Malta.
