Lords Tavern

The Lords Tavern on deck 7 (promenade deck) takes its style and atmosphere from Canberra’s Cricketers Tavern. This is the ships Pub and is an all smoking venue. It is certainly not a venue for those offended, or affected by smoke. Believe me, you can cut the smoke with a knife, as the saying goes. At night Lords Tavern is also the venue for Karaoke and other games.

It is quiet a colourful venue, yet it also is an elegant room due to its timber accents and modern furniture and marble topped tables. The aft wall has a large mural depicting the greens at Lords, whereas other walls are covered cricket memorabilia. On one wall there is a large plasma screen, which is eternally switched onto CNN. Generally, this is a delightful room, except the overpowering smoke that greets you as you enter. There is an exit out to promenade deck (starboard), where there are a number of tables and chairs.

The entrance to Lords Tavern is from the portside passage along promenade deck (7)

It certainly is a bright and colourful bar – looking aft

The rest of the room has a traditional feel, with its light timber tones and modern furniture - looking forward

Above and below: Walls are clad with bats, pads and other cricket memorabilia

However, if you are interested in a cruise, I am happy to refer you to a dedicated cruise agent in Australia, New Zealand or further afield on my recommended “cruise agents” page, for these are agents that specialise in cruising and they will be able offer excellent service you and the best fares available! Be assured, I do NOT receive any commissions or favours from these agents, and in the vast majority of cases these agents will not even be aware of my, or mu site’s involvement, as I provide the enquirer with the requested information of the agents (in their region) including their contact details.
