Restaurants

And other dinning venues

Oriana has seven dinning venues: The Peninsular and Oriental Restaurants on deck 6, the Conservatory (Buffet) on deck 12, Al Fresco a 24 hour dinning venue on deck 12, Tiffany’s on deck 8. There are two alternative dinning venues for evening meals; these are the outdoor “Terrace Grill,” located aft on deck 12, and “Le Jardin Bistro,” located on the port side of the Conservatory on deck 12. Both have a cover charge of £4.75.

Main Restaurants

The Peninsular and Oriental Restaurants are so named that the two names make up the initials of the two companies that joined forces to become P&O - Peninsular and Orient Lines. Both are located on deck 6.

Peninsular Restaurant

The Peninsular is located amidships. The aft wall has a long scenic mural as seen in the photographs below. Furniture in this room is of pastel shades accented with teak timbers.

Oriental Restaurant

The Oriental Restaurant is located aft on deck 6 and features sweeping windows on three sides. Her décor is somewhat darker that that of the peninsular, but has the same atmosphere. The only disadvantage of dinning in this room is the vibration of the engines and noise that occurs from time to time.

The Conservatory

Al Fresco’s

Al Fresco’s is a delightful indoor outdoors 24 hour dining venue. Menus changed during the day, from breakfast, lunch, dinners and all night pizza and other goodies. Outdoors the tables are always set, whilst inside all tables are set with table cloths. This is a highly recommended venue, we spent a great deal of time her, as it serves excellent coffee. Cappuccino and espresso is also available, but at an additional cost.

 Tiffany’s

This delightful lounge offers a continental breakfast and a three course (light) lunch daily. To the right of the bar, seen in the photograph below, a table can be seen, which has a display of the fare that is on offer. Each day there is a different menu. Times: Breakfast - 0800 to 1030, Lunch - 1100 to 1600. Tiffany’s is the ships Chocolate and Espresso bar. Chocolates, snacks and coffees are available at an additional cost 24 hours per day. However, it is the best coffee on the ship by far!

Le Jardin Bistro & Terrace Grill

During our voyage, I did not dine at either of these venues; however, from all who did told me that the experience was well worth wile. Sadly, I did not take any photographs whilst both locations were operating as the alternative dinning venues. But, the photographs of the Conservatory above will be a guide of Le Jardin’s. However, tables would be set with table cloths and fine cutlery, etc. The Terrace deck and bar is the location of the Terrace Grill. The same tables and chairs as Al Fresco’s are located here. At night, these are also set with table cloths, etc.
